It’s October 2nd, which is the day the Samsung Gear S2 goes on sale in the United States. The company has them at Best Buy and Amazon, or you can even trot to their own online store to buy them if you prefer to get it straight from the source.

You’ll be forking over $299.99 for the base model in black or white, though the latter doesn’t seem to be available quite yet. Best Buy has the white model listed as coming soon, and Amazon doesn’t even have a listing for it. Meanwhile, Samsung is showing a ship date of 3-4 weeks. The $349.99Gear S2 Classic is also unavailable at both third-party retailers, but showing a 3-4 week shipping time frame through Samsung’s store.

So that leaves the Black Gear S2 as the only option for walking away with one. These things don’t run Android Wear, but Tizen. That’s of little consequence, though, because there are still plenty of apps to get for it. You’ll also be happy to learn that you won’t need a Samsung phone if you want to use it, as the Gear S2 works with nearly any Android device that has Android 4.4 or higher. Let us know if you’ll be picking one up.
