Here are the first 4 LG G4 ads you’ll see on TV [VIDEO]

LG G4 leather

LG is quite excited about the new smartphone they just unveiled earlier this week — the LG G4, if you haven’t been paying attention — and they’re going to share that excitement with everyone early on through a quartet of new ads. These 30 second spots serve simple purposes: to show off the phone and what went into crafting them.

They feature a man assembling the 16 megapixel f/1.8 camera, assembling the display, and stitching genuine leather onto the device’s rear cover. It isn’t quite enough to get you familiar with the phone in one go, but it certainly should provide enough intrigue for any uninformed viewer to learn more.

Of course, if you really want to learn more all you’ll have to do is find your way to our hands-on with the LG G4 right here.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. I am soo ready for this phone! Hope they come out with a green leather back.

    1. To bad USA is looking at June – 30 days – IF rumors are correct. Which is terrible as what kind of momentum zapper is it to announce your phone, and then make most wait +30 days to get it??

      1. My upgrade from M8 just opened up today. Although I would have loved to walk into Sprint and have this phone in hand today, I don’t mind waiting for it for 30 more days. There isn’t any other options, released or announced, as this fits my needs 100%.

        1. Yeah agreed I am sure I am still in for it. BUT from a biz standpoint (1) people forget as “huh, oh, that was 30 days ago” (2) it gives other makers a chance to announcement a new phone – like the Z4 – and so people think why not wait and see what it might be (3) most of us are instant gratification and simply will not wait. All of this can add up to lost sales and people that move on. 30 days from announce to availability – in this game – far to long.

        2. Exactly how I feel. I’m still using and loving my G2 with CM12 Lollipop, and I can’t upgrade until July anyway. But this is my next phone!

      2. That’s an absolute age. I hope it’s not true.

  2. You have typo, the camera sensor is 16MP and not 20. Maybe confusion with the One M9.

  3. I love the phone but did anyone else think the official announcement was really really cheesy? The whole format, the words used, the videos and demos was the same old tired template used by every other product. It’s so stereotypical that there’s various parody videos using the same template (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOXQo7nURs0). Rather than making all this hoo-har….why not just announce the phone at MWC like most other phones. It’s a great phone and LG have come along way, but don’t go down the path of Samsung and Apple glitzing up the launch event to over hype the phone. It just comes across as super tacky!

  4. For HTC not releasing a replacement for one max. I have no problems with speakers being the back or the 30 days wait.

    1. Enjoy your audio experience

      1. Yeah, I will miss the boomsound.. I’m so use to having a 5.5 inch screen, I don’t want nothing smaller. Just my personal preference, ?

        1. I mean there is always the Note series, I’m sure the note 4 can probably outshine the G4 , all the g4 had that caught my interest was the camera….

  5. You see HTC? This is how you showcase your flagship device. Fire your current ad agency.

  6. Neither LG or Htc can’t touch Samsung of they were taught how.

    1. Funny I remeber when you used to ride htc’s nuts and now you’re all over samsungs? Whistler next apple?

  7. They look like a Samsung commercial which isn’t a bad thing.

  8. I’m seriously thinking of going with this in lieu of the GS6. As of last night, I’ve had two GS4s suffer catastrophic screen breaks. How do the LGs compare with the Sams when it comes to bloatware? I know part of the equation is the carrier (I plan on keeping VzW), but does anyone here have experience going from the Galaxy S series, to the LG G series?

    1. I like the LG series better now,i had the gs4 and replaced it with the g2 and now have the g3 and soon the g4, the bloat on the g3 is very minimum is like is not even there. I had every brand except Sony, plus lg is easier and cheaper to fix.

      1. Much appreciated

  9. LG and Samsung really know how to make ads. HTC needs to learn soon cause its about to lose some more market share to the g4 soon no doubt

    1. Can anyone find out which ad agency they use? Or do they have something in house?

      1. I would think it’s in house as both the companies are huge.

  10. I still couldn’t tell from these videos, im curious if the leather adds weight/thickness. Like its it just slapped on top of the plastic backing or does it replace some/all of it?
