At $60 for the Supertooth Disco 4, you’d be hard pressed to find a better Bluetooth speaker for the money. We know what you’re thinking — there’s no way this speaker can deliver on sound quality or features. But you’d be wrong. Dead wrong. Although it doesn’t have stereo sound (it’s just a single speaker), the Disco 4 delivers big sound. We’d say it rivals some of your home theater systems (not really, but you get the picture) thanks to its bass reflex. The Disco 4 also comes equipped with NFC for easy pairing, Bluetooth 4.0 for the best wireless sound quality available, a rechargeable battery via micro USB with up to 12 hours of battery life, and comes in a variety of colors. Oh, and did we mention the bass?
We actually found the bass was so deep, often times we were forced to turn down the 32-125Hz frequencies in our equalizer to keep from upsetting the neighbors. Simply put, you will not find more bass in a speaker this size and for this amount of money. Period. It’s for this reason we recommend the Supertooth Disco 4 as one of the best and most affordable Bluetooth speaker money can buy.

If you’re looking for something with clean, solid sound and exceptional volume, and don’t mind that it’s big enough to need its own carrying handle, go check out the G-Project G-Boom for about $100. I’ve had one for almost a year now, and I’m very happy with it. It’s basically a classic boombox minus the tape/CD/radio source. It’s over a year old, but it’s still one of the best BT boxes out there for the price.

I have a full UE Boom and it’s awesome! Waterproof, almost indestructible, lasts 15 hours on a charge, and sounds incredible. Oh, and how many BT speakers have an app?
