Quick heads-up on a deal for those of you in the market for cheap memory. Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of the Day is putting Transcend’s silicon on sale at up to 50% off for the entire day, but you’ll only have today to take advantage. Highlights include a 32GB Class 10 UHS-1 microSD card for $13.99, down from its usual $37.40. The 64GB version of that same card is $28.99, down from its usual cost of $49.99.

There are an assortment of other storage options available at discounted prices, including 64GB and 128GB full-sized SD cards that write at 60 megabytes per second costing $37.99 and $79.99, respectively.

Transcend’s brand doesn’t carry quite the same weight as Sandisk, Samsung or Sony, but they still offer a solid product that not many have complained about. Don’t be afraid to take a chance on them if you feel these prices are too good to pass up. The full suite of goods can be browsed at Amaozn’s site right here if you’re interested.

  4. I think most ‘true geeks’ have enough 32 and 64GB cards already.

Get back to me when the *128GB* cards are on sale for ~$0.50/GB too.
