While the Oppo N1 might currently have everyone’s attention, what with it launching earlier this week and all, the Chinese company has more goods to bring us in the very near future. Oppo has started teasing the next smartphone in their flagship Find lineup. It’s the Oppo Find 7, and while we don’t have any “official” details about this thing just yet, rumors suggest this’ll be one to watch for.

The Oppo Find 7 is rumored to be packed with the latest high-end chipset from Qualcomm — the Snapdragon 805 — as well as 3GB of RAM. That not enough to whet your appetite? How about the 5.7-inch 2560×1440 it’s rumored to have? Or perhaps you’re more excited about the 13 megapixel rear camera and the 5 megapixel front sensor. 4G LTE and a 4,000mAh battery are rumored to round this tale of the tape out.

This device reads like a super heavyweight no matter which way you turn, and we’d love to see it launch worldwide like the much-acclaimed N1 did. There’s no solid word on when that will happen, but it should launch in time to steal an inkling of thunder from the early launches of the big boys (Samsung, HTC, et al) at some point in 2014.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Need to see a price before I get too excited..

    1. That, and the fact that Oppo will probably gimp it with just 16GB of internal storage. Other than that, it’s proprobably a solid preview of what to expect from the GS5 spec-wise. I predict the next One (M8 or whatever) to best the GS5 to market by several months but also with decidedly 2013 specs (Snapdragon 800, 5″ 1080P screen etc.)

    2. it will be between $600 and $700 like every other flagship phone on the market besides the nexus line.

  2. Those specs are impressive! It’ll be interesting to see what the Note 4 brings to the table. Loving my GN3, but the Find 7 sounds legit.

  3. Guess they didn’t like the swivel camera.

    1. No actually the Find serious is a different kind of lineup.. The swivel camera is still the best feature on a phone for this year.

  4. I am very close to buying an Acer Liquid S2 , but the 6″ screen is making the handset enormous, if this new Oppo could get the dimensions down with the slightly smaller screen, we could be onto a winner!!!

    1. Go play with a HTC one max that’s like the closest you’ll get to that

    2. I’m going too check that out.

  5. Even with all of the bells and whistles, I hope that this can come in at a competitive price point. .

  6. Ready to sell all my devices for this if the specs pan out!

  7. As long as it isn’t as big as the N1 I’ll probably be buying it. The N1 even dwarfed the Note III

  8. and i’ll be holding off on the N1 for this phone.

    GIMME!

  9. We it support T-Mo’s LTE? If so, I’d seriously consider getting this instead of the N5.

    1. it will be GSM so yes it will.

      1. a lot of global gsm phone only support hspa+ but LTE would be sweet

      2. But does it support T-Mo’s LTE frequencies?
