ASUS CUBE with Google TV review

12

In case you haven’t heard, the ASUS CUBE with Google TV is out, and it’s time to figure out whether this unique take on the Google TV experience will be worth the $140 ASUS is asking for. Our friends at GTVSource.com have an ASUS CUBE review, giving us a deep look at what ASUS hopes will entice folks to embrace Google TV and get excited for the smart TV platform again.

Our benefactor, Edgar Cervantes, noted the device’s snappy performance thanks to the Marvell chipset inside, a simple and easy setup, the slim remote, and pleasing UI and design, but also noted some minor software hiccups and issues that may or may not make or break the experience for you. Oh, and apparently it’s one big dust magnet.

We can’t spoil all of the juicy details for you, unfortunately, so you’ll just have to head over to GTVSource for the full review. And if you’re not at work or don’t mind taking a 15 minute break be sure to watch the review video we’ve embedded above.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

    1. I understood him just fine. He has a slight accent which was not hard to understand at all, but some people seem to be particularly sensitive to accents. The presentation was fine, he provided a pretty in depth look with a lot of information and suggestions on working around the shortcomings of the device. If you don’t like the review they provided, free of charge, for your edification, look up some more on youtube. There may be a few more that sound a bit more american for your tastes.

      1. wasnt even looking for American sounding, was just looking for enthusiastic, prepared, excited. He sounded like he was saying BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH, id rather be watching porn right now BLAH BLAH BLAH. I never complained about his accent BTW

        1. I agree, it wasn’t the accent, just blah blah blah, boring too death. Never showed how it worked on line, or streaming movies, etc…

          1. Thanks , it reminded me of the scene from Airplane when the main character is telling his story to an old lady, and by the time hes finished the old lady hung herself. I felt like the old lady…. lol
