AT&T Mobile Share plans launch August 23

Customers now have an availability date for the shared data plans AT&T announced last month. Starting August 23rd, AT&T will launch their Mobile Share plans, which allow subscribers to pair up to 10 devices with a single service plan featuring unlimited talk and text and data options starting at $40  per month for 1GB of access. The options largely mirrors Verizon’s Share Everything plan introduced earlier in the summer. To help customers determine the proper data allowance, AT&T has introduced a Mobile Share planner tool to their site. You can check out more info at AT&T’s blog post announcing the availability.

  1. Let’s see how this plays out

  2. This makes me want to puke.

    1. Go ahead puke, let it out, you’ll feel much better after.

  3. I have to research. So far it sounds costlier than having individual data on a family account.

    1. Ditto. I have an $80 family plan with a new 3GB/$30 on one phone and a grandfathered 2GB/$20 on another. Total $130.

I could go for the 4GB/$70 + 2x$40 = $150. I get Less data for $20 more. Only add is unlimited talk/text, but so freaking what, I’m not anywhere near my minutes anyway. The pricing on this is ludicrous

      1. you mean 25 for 2 gig yeah?

  4. Do these plans include free tethering like the Verizon plans do?

    1. Yes

    2. Let’s see how far you get tethering 1GB

  5. Cool concept but I really have no use for them.

  7. My $50 Straight Talk is looking even better..Who cares if they throttle me at 2gigs with these prices..

  8. I compared this with Verizon’s offerings on my blog. It is kind of ridiculous how much it costs, and what looks to be some kind of price fixing in the 4GB plan area (both ending up at $150) which is 2 GB per smartphone….

  9. Works really well for 6 smartphones, anything less or higher just doesnt pan out compared to savings

  10. If i ever lose my 3lines of unlimited it will be time for a new carrier I could not afford the new plan already pay $300 plus a month not complaining about current cost but with two lines using over 10gig a month I’d go broke. No I don’t tether and i have internet at home just travel alot and use Pandora daily

  11. I’ll stick with my 900min, unlimited text, free roaming on Verizon, unlimited data at Sprint for less than $100

  12. Who would have thunk it?

  13. Sharing between multiple devices….HUGE rip-off and more expensive. AT&T knows it. Better off keeping things separate or face headaches trying to resolve discrepancies or when closing one of the lnes.
