HTC Raider (Holiday) Stops by FCC en Route to AT&T

21

The HTC Raider has been available in Canada for a few weeks now, but a US release still escapes the device. The handset once known under the Holiday name has long been rumored to make a stop at AT&T, but any word of an announcement has been missing as the holiday season kicks into high gear. There is a chance we could still see the Raider in the States by the end of the year, as the phone has made the journey to the halls of the FCC showing its AT&T-ready 850 and 1900 GSM bands.

The Raider features a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, and an 8MP camera. Also on board are 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.

  1. Is this not my HTC Vivid with at&t by another name?  I’m confused.

    1. Yeah I too thought the Vivid was AT&T’s version of the Holiday.

  2. Uhm this was already released on AT&T as the HTC VIVID about a month ago… I have one in my hand.

    1. The Raider has LTE too.

      1. Yay another HTC phone!

      2. so does the Vivid???

    2. correct me 2, and if u use the gameloft app it says holiday

  3. Isn’t this the HTC Vivid that is already out?

  4. How is this any different than the vivid? Am I missing something?

  5. Isn’t that a picture of the vivid?

  6. hum nevermind so does the Vivid apparently

  7. Maybe this is that other HTC handset that was rumored to launch around the time we found out about the HTC Holiday.  I forget the name of it, but it was a couple of months ago.

  8. Ok I see no difference between this and the Vivid..

  9. This is obviously a glitch in the matrix. Ignore it. It will be patched shortly.

  10. Samsung: this is what you call a smartphone? I made better

HTC: I don’t make phones for people to hear creaks

Samsung: well I don’t make phones that weigh as much as a brick

HTC: say that to my face you plastic piece of shit

Samsung: you take that back you battery defficient son of a bitch

HTC: yea, you don’t want none of this here. I see your screen is already bleeding

Samsung: no it’s just that your fucked up screen is too pixelated to see

    HTC: what?

Samsung: what you can’t hear? Do I have to turn up the volume?

HTC: yea because your speakers suck

    1. You still do those?!

      1. Yea. You commented on one of them yesterday on Engadget. Remember?

  11. A search for the model number indicated in this document (https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=1590833) identifies it as the HTC Raider 4G…

    …which Rogers Wireless currently carries.

  12. Let’s clarify again that this is the HTC Vivid….we got the point lol.

  13. The HTC Vivid is the PH39100.  What just hit the FCC is PH39130.  So there must be some differentiation however minor that it may be.  Perhaps it going to some other carrier…but it definitely isn’t gong to AT&T since AT&T already has their version of this phone.

  14. Just as everybody else has pointed out…the Vivid is att’s Holiday, and already released.
