By 9mm is quite the impressive looking game, if only for the amount of action crammed into a package designed for deployment on mobile devices. This ain’t no Angry Birds, that’s for sure. A new trailer has been released for the upcoming sandbox third-person shooter, and while we can’t let the glaring similarities to the Grand Theft Auto series go without mention, we might just let it slide for the impressive undertaking of bringing that style of game to smartphones and tablets. Whether the final product comes off as a mere imitator or a mobile gaming innovator is yet to be decided. A warning: the below trailer is not safe for work.

Gameloft… They haven’t had an original thought since they began. That’s their whole MO. I will give them one thing though, they know which games people like.
Looks like a mix between GTA and Max Payne (I would say more Max Payne less GTA, but this is only based on this vid). Looks great!
True, their games are nothing original, but they are for the most part very well put together and some of the best console style gaming available. Until original publishers start putting quality ports of their games on the market, gameloft probably knows they don’t need to do anything inventive to get people’s $$

For a GTA clone, Gameloft makes the series “Gangstar.”
Unlike GTA, this game does NOT allow you to free roam, which is why I’m sticking with the Gangstar series.
