We learned Motorola would be bringing an upgrade for the Motorola ATRIX 4G soon but weren’t tipped off to what exactly it’d include. (We did learn that it wouldn’t include a fix for call quality issues or to uncap that HSUPA functionality.) Here is a list of changes you can expect in 4.1.57:
- Fingerprint reader – Improved fingerprint reader performance
- Battery– Improved battery performance for longer battery life
- Screen – Display will turn off automatically now while charging directly on wall charger
- Phone stability – Improved stability resulting in fewer occurrences of touch unresponsiveness and/or programs quitting unexpectedly.
- Car dock – Improved performance of car dock and 3.5mm jack
- Bluetooth – Improved multimedia experience with Bluetooth devices as well as the ability to use phone with additional headsets
It’ll be a quick 17MB update coming over the air so be sure to have your Wi-Fi on once you’re notified that it’s ready to install. [Motorola via Android Central]
I have my wife’s Atrix rooted. Will this be a problem for getting the OTA update?
If you do the update you will no longer be rooted and as of right now there is no rooting method for 4.1.57
Thanks, Steve. Doesn’t sound like it’s worth it.
It’s really not. Going back tonight probably.
Motorola Asstrix sux. Why cant moto release anything that works? They’ve really lost their android mojo…
Motorola Atrix does not suck…I think you’re just too stupid to know how to work it
If only someone could use this method to crack the bootloader:
