Samsung Galaxy S 4G Now Available from T-Mobile

15

Ladies and gents, a new Galaxy S device is upon us, and sadly it isn’t the Samsung Galaxy S II just yet. Rather, it is the marginally improved Samsung Galaxy S 4G for T-Mobile, a riff on the original Galaxy S Vibrant featuring a font-facing camera, Android 2.2, and HSPA+ support. If you go direct through TMo the handset will set you back $199.99 on contract, though through other channels (such as RadioShack’s trade-in program) you can score it for around $150. We’re sure for many this will be a very appealing handset, while others will be content to wait for an S II release announcement for the states.

  1. Still $499.99 off contract. I’m surprised.

  2. It’s a TRAP!!!

  3. As annoying as it is to hear about how so many android phones are trying to look like an iPhone, this one really looks like it’s trying to look like an iPhone.

  4. die in a fucking fire

  5. Wow… so much negativity. Does it REALLY matter what the phone looks like??? It’s still an Android. As far as using thing platform for derogatory comments, like from Aeok, you should really grow up. I already know what the response will be so don’t bother responding. Unless, you want to make yourself look more like an ass. As far as the phone, I like it. Anything would be an improvement to the Galaxy S series.

  6. are they serious, april fools is in april, this thing still has no flash, and the 2 is coming in march…….hopefully, but im still going with the optimus 2x

  7. This phone is for the ignorant who are too lazy to do research on phones. Who ever buys this phone is definitely going to regret it. Simply because it is an outdated phone with outdated specs. Dual-core processors are already out and are monsters, my question is, Why would you want last years tech when all the new tech starts rolling out in March.

  8. S ll faggit!

  9. Bad marketing strategy by Tmobile. This is the phone they should have released as the original Vibrant. Who’s going to be this phone now, when the release of the new and much more improved galaxy S 2 phone is around the corner??

  11. um, yeah all of that n then sum. i agree w/u all there is good n bad w/this pic. S2 DONT let me down. March 4th, right?

  12. Samsung is trying to be like Nintendo. Like how Nintendo had like 2 different versions of the DS and the DSi. I bet they goin come out with 2 different version of the 3DS as well. Samsung shoulda had this as the first Vibrant. This is just so dumb and a waste of money.

Samsung, I like your phones since all your phones have excellent cameras, whether if they do have flash or not, but it’s the other things that make me not want your phones. Like making this phone. What if I already had the original Vibrant? Do I get a discount on this one? I didn’t think so either. -_-

  13. T-Mobile had a second chance to get the Galaxy S right, and they still forgot to put flash on the camera. The Epic is the only U.S. Galaxy A to match the i9000 and even top it with a slide out keyboard.

  14. I have this phone.. And enjoy it.. Im actually commenting from it as we speak lol..
