Rumor: G-Slate Not a Glasses-Free 3D Tablet, But Has 3D Capabilities

5

Rumor mill a-spinnin’ again. Android & Me’s Taylor Wimberly has it on good authority that the T-Mobile G-Slate – made by LG – will not have a glasses-free 3D display, but it will come with the ability to take 3D pictures and display 3D content accessible with special (and hopefully inexpensive) glasses.

We’re not totally sure why T-Mobile and LG are being so quiet on this device, but we’ll take what we can get from trusted colleagues. More of what we’ve seen at CES should be unveiled as we get closer and closer to Mobile World Congress, an event where we expect all these devices will converge and be shown off at full capacity.

  1. Needs to be without glasses or it’s lame

  2. Well that’s dissapointing. Let’s hope the rumours regarding the glasses free 3d iPod Touch are not equally unfounded.

  3. journal du geek! LOL the French have funny names for things :)
‘du geek’ really, that’s the sort of thing I would say whilst taking the piss.
pity about the tablet though :(

  4. 3D is so freaking stupid.
