Meizu M9 ROM Ported to HTC EVO 4G

7

In a move that further proves Android hackers have no decency, the ROM from the Meizu M9 has been ported over to everyone’s favorite Sprint handset, the HTC EVO 4G. Don’t worry, it’s not fully functional yet. Support for CDMA and the EVO’s screen size is still absent, but once it’s baked in we’ll be firing on all cylinders. Why you would want that, we don’t know. Maybe it’s more a move that proves you really can do just about anything with a little bit of knowledge and a whole lot of Android. If you feel so daring, download the ROM for yourself and try it out.

  2. Looks decent! Better than MIUI…ill stick with Gingerbread on my Droid Incredible

  3. i’ve been wondering recently, the evo is such a stunning device all round. so how is sprint going to follow this one up once it become obsolete?

I am sure they will just have a direct upgrade, Maybe an EVO 2? Dual core processor, better camera optics, more onboard memory, higher quality screen, the list can go on and on. They certainly have the ability to improve on the EVO. No doubt it’s a great phone but there is better tech on the market now and there is better tech rolling out daily.

  5. You can get a signal now but it still gets a lot of fc’s..Looks pretty good though but hard to say how performace is or anything.

  6. @bela, ya i know they will add all the latest stuff to it. but as far as the design goes, There isn’t much they can do to make it new yet still keep a resemblance to the old evo

  7. Software Engineers with too much time on their hands… Isn’t this kind of like running Mac OS when you don’t have to? Or even better, putting a rev limiter on your car?
