Altek Leo Headed to Asia in Q4 for $499

Remember that Altek phone that popped up looking prepped for Android and featuring a huge honking piece of camera glass? The Altek Leo camera-phone was shown off at CommunicAsia 2010, just as was promised. Revelations include Android 2.1 with a Froyo update in the pipeline, a 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor rated at 14MP, and a 3x optical zoom with dedicated controls.

Unfortunately what we don’t have are any example images showcasing just how pictures taken with this thing will look. Altek is known as a camera producer, so they have that going for them at least. It should see a release around Asian in the last quarter of this year for a price right around $499.
