Sometimes doing a little digging can result in a lot of good – in this case it appears the first LG Android Phone has been uncovered from LG’s own website! A quick peek at a User Agent Profile XML URL (found here) for the LG GW620 indeed shows that a QWERTY device with a 320×480 Pixel screen, HSDPA, UMTS and WiFi is in the works:

LG has promised 3 Android Phones in 2009 so 2 more must be hiding somewhere. The company has made some amazingly bold claims lately, recently saying they will become the #2 phone maker by 2012, a move that would require they surpass Samsung. We know Samsung already has the Galaxy… I would LOVE to see an arms race between these two high powered manufacturers that results in a escalating Android vs. Android powerhouses going head to head.

This is the type of competition that will help bring Android to the next level. Now… lets continue that digging…
