While a new survey says that the implosion of the Galaxy Note 7 hasn’t affected Samsung’s brand image in the US, that hasn’t stopped the South Korean company from salvaging what it can from the fiery remains of the much lauded but now recalled Galaxy Note 7 line.

Now that the Coral Blue Galaxy S7 is available from all major US carriers, it looks as though Samsung is borrowing yet another color from the Note 7 line to bring to those who might pick up a Galaxy S7 this holiday season. The glossy Onyx Black shade that first debuted with the Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to make its debut on the Galaxy S7 sometime in early December.

The Galaxy S7 has had an “Onyx Black” color available since the phone launched earlier this year, although the new color is rumored to be more glossy than the previous color. This is likely a move by Samsung to compete with the two black models of the iPhone 7, though this new glossy version of the Galaxy S7 will likely borrow the Galaxy Note 7’s black metal frame as well.
