IFA 2016 will be getting underway within the next week or so, and Huawei wants to make sure that everyone knows that it plans to change things up. The company sent out the below invitation to its IFA event, which is scheduled to start September 1st at 10:30am (CEST) or 4:30am for those on the east coast of the US.

At the event, we are expecting to see Huawei unveil the Mate 9 or Mate S2 as well as the possibility of a new Huawei Watch. The Mate 9 was leaked through GFXBench earlier this month, showing the device to feature the following specs:

  • 5.9-inch display
  • Octa-core 2.6GHz processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 64GB storage
  • 11MP rear-facing camera
  • 7MP front-facing camera
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

We’ve also seen some rumblings that Huawei may be working on a new smartphone made for women named the Huawei Nova. Not much else has come up in regards to this rumor, but that’s not all that Huawei is planning.

According to PhoneArena, a recent report cited an interview with Huawei executive Kevin Ho, stated that the company will be introducing another sub-brand. Huawei is the brains of the operation behind Honor, which just made a decent splash in the US with the Honor 8 unveiling.

It sure seems that Huawei has huge plans for IFA 2016, so we’ll be sure to keep our ears to the ground as we get closer to the event. Let us know what you would like to see from Huawei at IFA 2016 in the comments below.
