Everybody likes free stuff, most of the time it doesn’t even matter what the “stuff” is. For the company’s big Un-carrier 11 announcement, T-Mobile has a hatched a new scheme, one that’s all about thanking customers for being loyal to the “Un-carrier.”
T-Mobile Tuesdays
They first is called T-Mobile Tuesdays, a free application in the Google Play Store (and iOS) that allows you to claim free stuff every Tuesday. Free gifts range from small items like a Wendy’s frosty, to a free pizza at Dominoes. The prizes change each week, so you’ll want to keep checking the app to make sure you don’t miss anything. There are also bigger prizes you have to win using a virtual wheel you spin inside the app. We’re talking all-expense paid trips to Las Vegas, or a free movie ticket. The best part is that every line on an account is eligible, so you can get the whole family involved.
StockUp
T-Mobile is also giving away free stock in the company with their StockUp promotion. Every primary account holder gets a full share of T-Mobile stock just for being a customer. There’s even a referral program where you can gain additional stock just for bringing people on over to the Uncarrier (up to 100 shares). Those who have been with T-Mobile for over 5 years actually get 2 shares for every referral and every person who signs up with T-Mobile gets a share as a thank you gift. Free in-flight messaging and WiFi
The third Un-carrier 11 move is probably our favorite. After T-Mobile introduced free in-flight text messaging a few years ago, they’re now upgrading it to include select instant messaging apps as well. Most of the big ones are covered with messages sent through Hangouts, iMessage, WhatsApp, and more all being enabled for free on every domestic flight. They’re also giving customers 1 free hour of Gogo in-flight WiFi for — you guessed it — free. The fun starts on June 13th.
T-Mobile’s Un-carrier events are all about generating hype for the carrier and buzz is certainly swirling. To help further spread the word, T-Mobile is offering anyone who uses the hashtag #GetThanked + #Contest on Twitter or Instagram a chance at winning additional prizes, the first being a Warcraft movie ticket.
