The SHIELD is one of the best Android TV boxes out there, and it just keeps getting better. The latest update brings the device up to version 3.1. Most notable additions include a virtual mouse to make navigation easier, support for more games, and the March security patch.

The changelog lists”optimizations for new games,” but we don’t know exactly what games are included. The biggest change is a new virtual mouse. By using the controller’s right stick you can move a mouse around the screen. Apps that don’t use the right stick, such as Google Chrome, support the mouse. Other new features include USB drive detection, FTP write access, HDMI CEC, SD card formatting, and more.

Grab the update now as it’s rolling out over the air. How many of you have the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV?
