DOWNLOAD: Kickstarter’s Android app is finally here

It’s been a long time coming, but the wait is over: the Kickstarter app for Android is finally here. The company dropped the app into Google Play today, and so far everything seems peachy clean.

This version 1.0 release is quite nice. It gives you an easy way to discover and search for new Kickstarter projects, and should something tug at you it’s quite simple to back it on the go. You can keep up with updates from all the projects you back, and even get a look at what your friends are backing.

One of the biggest things we appreciate is the care Kickstarter took to adhere to Material Design guidelines all throughout the app. And they say there’s more to come, including tools that’ll allow creators to manage their projects without having to be on the desktop website. It’s a light 6.3MB download at Google Play so go ahead and grab it if it’s something you’ve been waiting for.
