NOOK Color Now Has Double the Apps in its Market

Since introduced in the spring the selection of Nook Apps for the NOOK Color has doubled, Barnes & Noble announced in a press release issued earlier today. The announcement comes in conjunction with the introduction of several popular applications to the Nook Apps catalog, including Evernote, Seesmic, and Fandango. B&N also announced the addition of 15 new interactive Disney titles and 50 installments of the “I Can Read” series to their eBook catalog. Full-color, interactive versions of New York and Motor Trend have also been made available.

The latest additions all come on the heels of an apps boom that has seen millions of downloads in the past months as the retailer has re-positioned their color e-reader as a full-fledged tablet alternative. See the press release below for even more details.

The problem with the B&N app store is they are charging for the regular android market free apps.  There is no way I’m paying for Angry Birds.  This is not an apple product!

Everyone just stay calm and root your nook colors!  Everything will be fine.

And if you’re rooted, like most Nook-owning Phandroid readers, you already have access to the Android Market. :)
