T-Mobile SnapPad Trademark Filing Hints at Possible Tablet

1

T-Mobile has a habit of placing their own names on a lot of the devices that pass through their doors. Take, for example, the T-Mobile G-Slate, which in other releases will be known by its given name, the LG Optimus Pad. Taking that into account, a recent trademark filing by TMo suggests another tablet may be in the carrier’s future. The name in question is “SnapPad,” and other than the trademark filing and the registration of a few related domain names, we have no idea what the device is or when we will see it. Heck, it might not even be running Android. But the name does have a ring to it, for sure. Perhaps there is no actual device in the pipeline and TMo is simply reserving the name for later use, no?
