Rumor: Sony Ericsson Xperia Mango and Smultron (Mini Pro II and Mini II) to Be Released in May

4

We’ve been seeing a lot of that heir apparent to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro and that’s because it may be set to come out soon. It’s said to be named the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mango (codename, apparently) and will feature the same specs we’ve heard before – a 1GHz processor, a 3 inch HVGA display and that all-important slideout QWERTY keyboard. We’re now hearing about the Xperia Smultron, too, which will virtually be the same phone as the Mango sans keyboard. Folks are saying that this thing could be out as early as next week so we’ll keep an eye on the scene and let you know when or if that happens. [ePrice via PocketNow]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. How about getting the Play out first?

    1. Play is out, at least, in Canada. :)

I’m anxious to see the specs of the Mango. I want to know if there’s a version that will support AWS. There’s an X10 version that does, but no Mini Pro version. I’m tired of Rogers and I want to move to Videotron, but they use AWS instead of GSM.

  2. Will one of these please be released for AT&T? I’ve been waiting forever for a small android phone that’s able to run flash. When will people understand that not everyone wants a 4.3″ monster screen? My gf is small and wants a small phone, but one that can run flash. The Droid Incredible was one of the best phones out there. Too bad it went up to 4″ now for the sequel…

  3. Yay for Mango…. take THAT, Microstuff!
