Mobilicity Getting the HTC “Emerald” (AKA the MyTouch 4G)

4

Mobilicity – an up and coming carrier in Canada – will soon be adding some more HTC flavor to their line-up as it’s been revealed that they’ll be carrying a device called he “Emerald”. You may know this one as T-Mobile’s MyTouch 4G. (Which just got a massive temporary price drop for new customers this morning, by the way.)

MobileSyrup says their version will be slightly redesigned and will launch with Android 2.3 once it does make its way out. (Which version of Sense wasn’t mentioned, unfortunately.) Other specs include a 5 megapixel camera and a 3.8-inch display. It should be out sometime in the middle of next month.

  1. aka the HTC Glacier to avoid confusion created by T-Mobile and HTC.

    1. The Emerald was T-mobile’s internal code name and the Glacier was HTC’s. Just like the Nexus One was know as the HTC Passion or Dragon before it was released. When 2.2 was leaked for the Nexus One in May 2010 it said passion on the file.

  2. SOOOOOOOO, whens the MyTouch getting 2.3? Hmmmmmm?!

  3. Good for them. It’s a great phone.
