Motorola DROID Bionic FCC Listing Tells of GSM Radios, a Bunch of Other Stuff We Already Knew

10

Welp, the Motorola DROID Bionic seems to have made a stop at the FCC recently. It brought with it its user guide in case the person handling it somehow gets confused (we hear the Bionic is a high maintenance type of gal). A lot of stuff revealed is stuff we already know and have known since January – it has a 4.3 inch  qHD display, a 1GHz processor and can record and playback content in 1080p HD.

A new tidbit has also surfaced, though, as the user manual has mentioned GSM radios inside the phone alongside Verizon’s CDMA and LTE radios – it’s possible this thing could certainly launch as a world phone. One final bit revealed by the FCC is that it will be compatible with a wireless charging back plate, just as many of their other phones are.

Even though it’s been more than half a year since it was announced, the DROID Bionic still remains one of the most powerful phones on the market. Any of you still interested in picking it up? [via Android Police]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. “Watch streaming Netflix videos on your 4.3″ qHD touchscreen, or use mirror mode to view your smartphone on your TV screen for gaming, videos, web browsing, and more.”

    There’s a slight implication that Netflix doesn’t work with mirror mode. Has anybody verified or refuted this?

    1. Netflix works on my Acer Iconia Tab with HDMI. I’m not sure if it will be different on the phone.

  2. I will be lining up at Verizons door the day it is released but it best be soon or if the Verizons version of the Galaxy S II is released sooner then Motorola is going to lose a faithful customer.

  3. yes sir I am pumped cant wait

  4. So would this Bionic also be suitable for use in Europe? It sounds like it’s ready to be used in any country worldwide.

    Edit;
    Hmm, this source says otherwise;

  5. You are behind again Phandroid. The literature was not correct and garbled pieces of other phones. The Bionic is not a GSM phone.

    1. There will be an edit/correction as soon as they read other sites.
      And it’s NOT Simultaneous Voice and Data‎ over 3G either!

      ** Sounds too good to be true, it is. **

      1. I know. I like Phandroid, but a lot of the content comes from other sites much later. I am actually surprised they did not remove my comment.

  6. not anymore since the Nexus Prime is coming to VZW.

    1. Can you please site your source for this info? Thanks.
