We normally don’t write about phones being released in China, but this one is obviously a special case. China Telecom is now set to carry the Motorola Milestone 3 sometime in the third quarter. You know what the American version of this phone is? Of course you do! It’s the Motorola DROID 3. And Verizon hasn’t even officially announced theirs yet. In case you needed a refresher on the specs of this thing:
- A dual-core processor capable of opening web pages twice as fast as most other smartphones, rendering games faster, supporting 27% faster multitasking than the previous version, and displaying HD video on big-screen TVs
- Runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the latest operating system from Google
- 4.0-inch qHD display, offering high resolution and 24-bit color, making it easier to read indoors and outdoors
- Combined five-row QWERTY and touchscreen keypad for faster and easier typing and texting
- 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash, 1080p video-capable
- Front-facing camera for video chat
- Up to 32GB of storage (16GB internal) – enough to store thousands of songs, photos and movies
- Comprehensive business features, including: GAL Lookup for eMail & Calendar access; remote Go-To-Meeting access (Citrix); remote document access (QuickOffice); and complex security, password, data encryption and remote wipe
- Android World Phone calling capabilities in more than 200 countries

I sure as hell hope they do. After seeing the Droid 2x that my friend has and that it actually has DEAD pixels, im considering ditching MOTO for HTC

Well technically Q3 beigins in 13 days…so that July 7 date that’s been floating around would be in Q3…
If the screen llooks like the one on the attic I think ill take it. Maybe im the only one but it looks good to me.

Verizon you are pathetic …
pentile is NOT that bad. What IS bad is the phone itself. It’s a motorola, meaning that it’s skimmed around every edge. Not as much ram or processing power as needed to compete with other ‘milestones’
Dual Core and 4G please! I’ve had my OG Droid for a year and half now and nothing has come along as a worthy replacement yet.

i think its hillarious people are still hyped about the “bionic” its already behind the curb aand its still all rumors and broken glass. your “bionic” came out its called the droid X2 the only differance is that it has no front facing camera and no usless battery hogging LTE.
SO was the Atrix and that phone sucks. I own one trust me when I tell you you don’t want a Motorola phone.

HA! there is a fix for that. Root your phone, install gingerbread, run a custom kernal. its hard to kill my battery in less than 24 hours.
Yeah tell that to all of those who have a thunderbolt who rooted and did all that yet still is difficult to make it through a day. Also the EVO 4g has pretty crappy battery life also.
Im waiting for the Bionic, S2, and the iphone 5 (yes i know i said a bad word there) before I make my decision..

This phone looks awesome. Pentile works and looks great. Stop your whining. The average user has no idea what pentile even is and doesn’t care. They only care that it is fast and works which it will.
I had held out a crazy hope this might have 4g on it when it came to Verizon but apparently not. Insane. With the 4g markets expanding so fast, the fact there are ZERO phones on Verizon with 4g and a physical keyboard is nuts.
Because they would be huge and people would bitch and moan about the size if they came out with one.
So does that mean we get the KIRF model? =)
