Just as soon as the LG Revolution got a rumored launch date of May 26th, this user guide has found its way into the hands of Droid-Life. Yep, it’s still Bing’d. And you had to guess Netflix would still be supported. Everything else is as you’d expect, though – it’s a 4G LTE device, has LG’s custom user interface, will have a special battery door for wireless charging and everything else you’ve already known since CES. I just bought the droid charge. It’s a great phone so far, but I’m not sure if I should keep it, exchange it for the revolution for the netflix support which would be awesome over 4g, or exchange it for the droid x2 to get that dual core processor. I’m thinking the dual core is going to be even more important in the future when the games on the iphone 5 with its dual core get ported to android. After all, most of the high end android games were originally on the iphone.
Users guide shows some issues up front:
1. Microsd stuck behind the battery (why do some OEMs do this?)
2. HEAVILY Binged
3. No 1080p as reported at the trade shows, so is the dedicated video chip gone too?
4. Funky a55 user guide errors like the device has “102mb” of ram and the display is “320” X 480. Not a good sign of quality, out of the gate. The thing is they had extra time to get something so basic to be correct. Nuts.
I have a question and hoping someone can answer…the Revolution is BING…is the Droid Charge GOOGLE based? I’m due for an upgrade but am so confused on which one to go for. Wish I knew if the Bionic was a definite go for June and I would wait but just don’t know which way to go with these phones.
Yeah, Charge is Google. I’d avoid Binged phones.
Perhaps this is a dumb question, but what are the problems with a “binged phone?”

According to the user guide it appears the Revolution can not stream video using the HDMI out other than “user generated content, which includes your photos and videos” (page 15). What exactly does that mean. No ability to stream youtube or other video using the HDMI out? It seems like I might go with the DX2 then because of its mirror mode. To bad if that is the case as I was interested in a front facing camera.
