After feeling pretty certain a February 14th release date would be the end of the HTC Thunderbolt’s voyage, news earlier this week of a delay in that timeframe cast uncertainty on when exactly we could get our hands on the phone. Now, a new source coming out to BGR is stating definitively (for the moment) that the Thunderbolt is right back to the February 24th date that has been tossed around for the past few weeks.
We wish we could feel confident in this date, but at this point anything is liable to change. At least we can stop expecting it to show up on the 14th.

Same day as the “rumored” xoom release? I mean know it’s two different companies, but that doesn’t seem right.
Just left my local BB store. The manager (who I’ve known for over 3 years) said they will be selling the Thunderbolt on Sunday 2/13. She also said that the iPhone isn’t selling NEARLY as well as they forecasted!!! She had all her employees come in today and sent all but two home early because there was no big rush of people like they were expecting!!!!
This could be hopeful thinking, but the best buy that I pre-ordered is still confirming the 14th date…
Maybe Verizon is waiting to see today’s results. If the iPhone’s not up to par maybe they’ll ship everything out tomorrow morning for a Monday release!

Called a friend of mine at BB also and he told me to call Sunday, and see if they had any new news to report. He stated they would know by the 13th (Sunday) if they would be in on Monday or not. (fingers crossed)

I had an appt to do some work for a few BB stores. One on the 20th got rescheduled. The reason was that they didnt want us in there as it was a big release date.
the reason is because they found a LTE handoff issue that they just fixed via software updates, so now they have to power on all the phones that are in there inventory and update them all before they go on sale. I’m pretty sure we don’t want a handset that has issues as soon as it goes on sale. I’m wondering how this will sell. At first everybody claimed it was a let down compared to the Bionic but now people seem very anxious for a release date. I know it’s tempting to me to move on to a bigger screen.
What happens if I purchase the iPhone on the 11th of February ( a day after the launcH) and decide on the 24th I want the thunderbolt? Is this possible?
Why don’t they just call the phone “the Obama” for crying out loud.
So after having “hardware to kick iphones ass” for years now, will this phone finally be able to use netflix, hulu, mobitv? How about good quality games, can this android finally get some decent games? Can I do anything besides rom and rearrange the layout back and forth on this phone? No – FAIL!

I went to bb today to get a date and they called the vzw headquaters on speaker who said the preorders will be on sale the 13th and if u dint preorder it will be for sale on the 14th at bb. 100% confirmed

Android phone makers could learn a lot from Apple. Set a realistic release date and stick with it. Cool it with the rumors! Makes us Android fans look like a bunch of idiots.
I have already sold my Droid X on ebay because Best Buy told me 2/14/11. I have alot riding on them to be accurate which i have double and triple checked all week with the same reply 2/14/11.

I was just at bb and the girl in the mobile area said that after they closes she has to put out thunderbolt accessories, and that the phone is supposed to be the 13th.
BB in cleveland claiming 24th….
I got an email from BB Feb 17th around 1700, thanking me for signing up for BB Mobile notifications, and that my phone is ready for pick up on the 26th. Also be noted that when I pre-reg, they said I was the first on that stores list. So I’m expecting a 26th due date.
