TweetDeck’s tweeted out an interesting yet still unexciting piece of information regarding the Android version of their Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn client: it now has more users than the Mac version. I say that it’s unexciting (and arguably useless) considering this isn’t being compared to a competing mobile platform, and we’re not sure what kind of userbase the Mac version of their client really has. Still, score another one for Android! Have you tried TweetDeck out yet? [via EuroDroid]
I prefer Touiteur to Tweetdeck.
I use TweetDeck and I quite like it. But you gotta stop counting little stuff like this for Android. I think Android is a superior platform and holds a lot of promise. Counting little things like this is bound to cheapen it.
Hold your breath for the big stuff!
Well, the android publicity worked because I just downloaded it and, it’s great! I like a tool that can simplify my social networking because the idea of tweeting, facebook wall updating, foursquare checkins, etc. is more time/effort than I want to keep them updated.
If you’re anything like me (and I think a lot are) you’ve been interested with the idea, maybe even downloaded Foursquare/Gowalla and whatnot and never had the time to be engaged in it.
I think these tools will help me do that. BTW, I’m checking out hootsuite too. See which one is better.
Seriously.. what’s up with the bing?
too bad my tweetdeck was constantly forceclosing. I just uninstalled it and went back to Tweetcaster.
@wildstar: I guess I’m opposite of you. I’ve been using HootSuite for awhile but have been meaning to try tweetdeck to compare them.
Hootsuite’s Android app doesn’t yet support posting to twitter and facebook simultaneously like their desktop-based web client does. I’m hoping they change that soon. One good thing is that they recently got rid of their “Lite” version and made the paid version free (more tools, etc.)
This makes sense. Tweetdeck on android is easier to use and much more intuitive than the Mac version.
Thats not good!
Loving Tweetdeck…
