As week 3 in the NFL concludes, we are gearing up for another Thursday night game between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. However, those of you who are Amazon subscribers are getting a little bit of a bonus, as you will be able to stream the game via the Amazon Prime Video app or the Prime Video web client.
This was announced all the way back in April, as Amazon took over the rights that Twitter held for last year’s NFL season. This will be the first of 10 games being broadcast via Amazon, and it sure seems to be a doozy of a contest.
In addition to broadcasting the game, there are some extra goodies for those of you who play Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) in Madden 18. If you link your Amazon and Twitch accounts, you’ll receive a Twitch Prime account, which will open up the door for the ability to earn Madden Legends throughout the season. In order to claim these Madden Legends, you’ll need to then link your Twitch Prime account with the same EA Sports account being used in Madden. Once everything has been completed, you’ll receive the Madden Legend of the week, which just happens to be an 83-rated Jerome Bettis – not too shabby.
If you were wondering what other games Amazon will be streaming on Thursdays, here’s the full schedule:
- Week 4, September 28th: Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers
- Week 5, October 5th: New England Patriots @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Week 6, October 12th: Philadelphia Eagles @ Carolina Panthers
- Week 7, October 19th: Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders

Try Amazon Prime
As we noted before, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage. If you haven’t already signed up, be sure to give it a try with their free 30-day trial. Make sure you don’t sign up until you know the game you want to watch lands within the 30 days you’ll have your trial subscription.
Aside from NFL games, Amazon Prime also offers access to free shipping on qualifying orders, a wealth of streaming video content, streaming music, unlimited Kindle and Audible reading, access to one-hour delivery through Amazon Prime Now, Amazon Dash Buttons, Twitch Prime, and a whole lot more. It’s almost too much to list here, so be sure to explore everything you’ll get right here.
