Bouncy Hoops

Bouncy Hoops is an arcade-style basketball game all about making buckets. Bounce, shoot, swish and slam the ball to become the king of the court in this high score arcade challenge. Get on fire and try to beat your friends before the buzzer sounds.

What makes it addictive? Whether you’re trying to see how many shots you can make in a minute or how many you can make in a row, the clock makes the game frantic. When the game finally ends you always feel like you can beat that score, so you play again.

Circle Affinity

Circle Affinity could be called “Circle Chaos” because that’s what it feels like when you play it. The game is technically a platformer, but it’s not like any platformer you’ve played before. The idea is to jump from one circle to the next while avoiding the spikes and obstacles. I don’t really know what I’m doing when I play, but it’s a lot of fun.

What makes it addictive? Circle Affinity is pure chaos in a game. At first, it’s hard to really know what you’re doing, which makes it very addictive. You have to learn as you go. That makes you want to play over and over again as you figure out the game and get better.

Gentleman Ninja

In this game you’re not simply a ninja, you’re a Gentleman Ninja. You’re armed with colored ninja swords that can only defeat enemies of the matching color. Use the red sword on red enemies and the blue sword on blue enemies. You have to think fast to use the correct weapon or you’ll be taken out by the enemy ninjas.

What makes it addictive? Gentleman Ninja doesn’t give you much time to think. You have to play the game very quickly if you want to survive. Red, red, blue, blue, blue, red, red, CRAP! When you make a mistake it feels easily avoidable, so you play again right away.

Orble

Orble is a tricky game that requires good hand-eye coordination. You are the gray ball. The goal is to avoid the red balls and collect the green balls. You do this by hopping between the orbits. The real difficult part is that the orbits move at different speeds and directions. It takes great reflexes and skill to survive as long as possible.

What makes it addictive? Orble takes great reflexes to survive for a long time. It seems like an easy game, but the varying speed of the orbits makes it deceptively difficult. You can be doing well and then all of a sudden one false move ends the game. All you can do is play again.

Really Bad Chess

Really Bad Chess is just like chess, but with totally random pieces. Every game has a new combination of pieces. One game you might be lucky and get multiple Queens, the next game you might be stuck with too many pawns. Play with the pieces you’re dealt.

What makes it addictive? Regular chess can be pretty boring, but Really Bad Chess is much more fun. Every game is different. You can’t rely on the pieces being in their familiar spots. The better you get the harder the games become, which can bring out the competitiveness in some people.

Small Bang

You are a dinosaur running around the globe to avoid falling meteors. Move left or right to dodge falling objects and collect items to help your dino survive. The goal is to see how long you can survive. There are many characters that you can use. It`s not just about dodging either. You can break the meteors with items.

What makes it addictive? Small Bang is one of those games that looks more difficult than it really is. You’ll see dozens of meteors flying at you, but it’s easier to dodge than you might expect. That only makes it more frustrating when you lose. Surely next time you won’t die as fast.

Smash Rocket

Smash Rocket is a game all about smashing rockets into planets and asteroids. The rockets are orbiting the Earth surrounded by targets. It’s your job to get the timing just right and tap the screen to launch the rocket on the perfect trajectory. Sometimes the rockets are spinning or two will launch in opposite directions. It’s a simple game with beautiful design and addictive gameplay.

What makes it addictive? Timing is key in this game, but there’s no timer to put urgency in your moves. You can sit and wait forever for the perfect timing, but that’s boring. What ends up happening is you’ll try to play too quickly and make silly mistakes. Before you know it you’re playing again.

Turning

Turning is an interesting puzzle game. Your job is to place tiles that fire balls in different directions. Every time a tile fires a ball it rotates and begins to fade away. The trick is to set up massive chain reactions to clear the board because if the board fills up, you lose.

What makes it addictive? Turning is a puzzle game that takes a lot of planning and strategy. You have to think about how all the tiles will rotate and where the ball will end up. Getting a long streak is a great feeling. When there’s eventually no more room for tiles you’ll be anxious to try again.

VOI

VOI is a puzzle game all about subtraction by addition. When you place a shape over the top of another shape, the overlapped area disappears. Using this logic, the goal is to create the shape at the top of the screen with the shapes at the bottom. Drag and drop them to create the desired shape.

What makes it addictive? VOI is a mellow game. There are no timers or “start from the beginning” deaths. You can try each level over and over again until you get it right. The laid-back feel will suck you in for hours and hours. It’s a great stress-free way to kill time.
