“Bezel-less” design is all the rage in smartphones these days. Many people forget that Sharp was one of the first manufacturers to do it. The Sharp Aquos Crystal had almost no bezels on 3 sides, but a hefty chin on the bottom. Sharp is back with another phone in the Aquos line.
The Sharp Aquos S2 still has the familiar design. The bezel on the top and sides is very small, but there is a chin on the bottom. The chin on the S2 is pretty small compared to previous models. The front-facing camera pokes out of the top, similar to the Essential phone and iPhone 8 leaks. The chin houses the fingerprint sensor.
The Aquos S2 is a mid-range device. The 5.5-inch display is 1080p. It has a Snapdragon 630 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, dual 12MP cameras, and 3020 mAh battery. The specs are all high-end except for the processor, which is pretty important. The Aquos S2 will be available in China starting at $522.
