Just before the unveiling of the HTC 10, we’d heard of an “HTC 10 Lifestyle.” Well, that leak was accurate — HTC did have a 2nd device to reveal today, albeit in very quiet fashion.
So, what’s different about this compared to the HTC 10? You’re getting a Snapdragon 652 chipset opposed to Snapdragon 820, and 3GB of RAM opposed to 4. Oh, and the USB Type-C port only support USB 2.0 release 1.1, whereas the HTC 10 support USB Type C 3.1.
That’s literally it. The HTC 10 Lifestyle still features a chamfered metal build, a fingerprint sensor, 12MP and 5MP OIS cameras, a 2560 x 1440 Super LCD 5 display, as well as all the other specs we’ve discussed today.
It’s weaker on paper, but only slightly so, and it should translate to some nice cost savings to make it more attractive for folks in India. We’re all for it.
