Circle to Search is now available on Google Pixel 8 phones

The last time Google released a Pixel Feature Drop for its Pixel phones was back in December 2023. The company usually releases a Pixel Feature Drop update in the last month of every quarter, but it looks like they have decided to surprise us with a new release. This update brings the Circle to Search feature to its Pixel 8 phones.

During the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, Google announced their new Circle to Search feature. The feature will debut with the Galaxy S24 series, but Google notes that it will also be coming to its Pixel phones. The company did not specify a release date, but it looks like we have our answer.

Circle to Search is a new AI tool that allows users to search for items on their screens. Instead of users snapping a screenshot or leaving the app to search, Circle to Search lets users circle items on their screens. This means that if there is something in a video that catches your attention, you can highlight it and Google will search for it for you.

In addition to Circle to Search, the Pixel Feature Drop also brings the Magic Compose out of beta and will be available to all Pixel 8 users. Google’s Photomoji tool will also be rolling out on a wider scale. If you’re a Pixel 8 user, you’ll want to keep an eye out for this update.
