Jabra’s Elite 8 Active, Elite 10 earbuds will be getting some enhancements in an upcoming update

One of the good things about modern day gadgets is that they are powered by software that can be updated. This means that even though some of them may launch with a set of features, future software updates can change and improve on that. That’s what Jabra has done with its Elite 8 Active and Elite 10 wireless earbuds.

Both these earbuds were announced back in late 2023, but at CES 2024, the company announced plans to issue some updates to the earbuds to enhance the overall experience. According to Jabra, this will include an easy-to-use on/off toggle for Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, Hearthrough, and Sidetone, as well as give users the ability to customize the name of their earbuds to make it easier to identify.

Specifically for the Jabra Elite 8 Active, they will make the earbuds easier to hear especially in windy conditions. This will come through an improvement of the Adaptive ANC feature, which when paired with Hearthrough will make it more effective if there is a lot of wind around you.

As for the Jabra Elite 10, users can look forward to better call clarity in busy environments with new noise suppression algorithms. This will help identify unwanted background noise and suppress them to allow your voice to better carry through. The updates will be rolled out in two stages – one in January and the other in March.

Users will only need to make sure they have the Jabra Sound+ app installed on their phones to get the latest updates.
