Now that Google has removed the waitlist for its Bard AI, we imagine that the company is hoping that more users would use its AI services. Unfortunately for Google, it looks like Microsoft is not relenting on its pressure on the competition.
The company has announced the launch of a new Bing Chat widget that will be making its way onto both Android and iOS devices. With this new Bing Chat widget, it will allow users on both iOS and Android to access its Bing AI, which is powered by ChatGPT, and ask it questions and get responses directly from their phones.
At this point in time, Google’s Bard does not have its own standalone app, which means that Microsoft has an edge over Google in that regard. It’s an interesting move by Microsoft, but one that isn’t too surprising. Not too long ago, Microsoft updated its SwiftKey keyboard app where they introduced AI support. Now with the launch of the Bing Chat widget, Microsoft is giving users yet another way of using its AI services.
So if you’re an Android user and you’re keen on being able to access ChatGPT directly from your Android’s home screen, you can find the instructions on adding the widget here.
