New Nokia Phone Spotted on Geekbench Listing

0

It’s only the second month of 2023, and we’ve already been bombarded by a ton of new smartphones from various manufacturers both big and small, and it’s been interesting seeing the approaches by different companies when it comes to the mobile market. As such, Nokia is not one to stay out of the race, and it looks like the Finnish brand is gearing up to launch a new smartphone soon.

Currently dubbed the “Nokia G22,” the device was recently spotted in a Geekbench listing, with a single-core score of 308 and a multi-core score of 1094. However, it seems like the device is geared for budget-conscious buyers, as it does come with some rather modest hardware specifications. This includes a Unisoc-branded chipset, around 4GB of RAM, and a rather old Android 12 aoftware version onboard. In any case, there’s no official word from Nokia about the device yet, although we imagine that we might hear an announcement soon.

In other Nokia news, it looks like the company has been collaborating with European company Streamview to develop a wireless game controller, dubbed the Nokia 5000GC. While it isn’t out on the market yet, several photos and specifications of the gamepad have been leaked online, which might be released sometime soon.
