New Update fixes Raise to Wake on Galaxy Watches

0

A while back, Samsung sent out an update for Galaxy Watch 5 and 4 models that seemingly resulted in the devices’ “raise to wake” feature not working properly. As such, Samsung has recently pushed out a new software patch which fixes the issue, which has received its fair share of complaints.

Simply put, raise to wake turns on the display for a brief period of time, allowing users to check the time, notifications, and other important information on their Galaxy Watch for a few seconds. However, a software update from a few weeks back seemingly disabled the feature for many users. Thankfully, it looks like Samsung has finally addressed the problem with its newest software patch, which comes with software version number R920XXU1AWB1, and is currently live in several regions across the globe.

Users can check for the update by heading into the Watch Settings menu, then tap on the Watch Software Update menu to check for the update. It should be noted that this new update doesn’t come with a new security patch number though, and it looks like it is mainly meant to address the raise to wake feature.
