Be prepared to pay more for the Samsung Galaxy S23

0

According to a report from earlier this month, it was suggested that Samsung could be maintaining the price of its Galaxy S23 series, meaning that it will cost the same as the Galaxy S22 series. But it turns out that maybe that was a bit too optimistic.

In a new report from 9to5Google, they have discovered that there could actually be a price increase instead. The report claims that for the base Galaxy S23, it could cost AUD$1,350, while the Galaxy S23+ could be priced starting at AUD$1,650, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra could be priced at AUD$1,950.

While those prices are in AUD, the publication speculates that this could basically mean a $100 increase for North American markets, meaning that the Galaxy S23 could be priced starting at around $940. It could also potentially mean that in other countries, the price jump could be a bit more significant due to currency conversion.

That being said, we can’t say we’re too surprised. Prices of phones have been going up over the years due to a variety of factors like component shortages, the cost companies put into R&D and using new technologies, inflation, and so on.

Either way, take it with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet, but assuming it’s true, will that dissuade you from getting the Galaxy S23 series?
