While the color of your smartphone might seem like a very superficial thing, especially when you’re most likely going to stick it into a case anyway, it does play an important role in helping people make their decision, especially if it is a particularly attractive color or a color that they really like.

That being said, for those who are looking for a new phone, you might be interested to learn that Motorola has announced that they will be bringing the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion smartphone to North American markets in a brand new Pantone color of the year 2023 finish, which for those unfamiliar is Viva Magenta. According to Pantone:

“This year’s Color of the Year is powerful and empowering. It is a new animated red that revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression without restraint, an electrifying, and a boundaryless shade that is manifesting as a stand-out statement. PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta welcomes anyone and everyone with the same verve for life and rebellious spirit. It is a color that is audacious, full of wit and inclusive of all.”

As for the phone itself, apart from the introduction of a new colorway, the rest of the specs will remain identical. We’re talking about the use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G chipset, a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 4,400mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.

The handset will be available for purchase from the 12th of December onwards where it will be priced at $799.99 where it will also come bundled with the MOTO BUDS 600 ANC earbuds.
