Android updates can sometimes feel like a mixed bag because there are so many different models and manufacturers that sometimes it’s hard to say which phone will get the update. The good news is that if you’re a Motorola handset owner, then you might be interested to learn that Motorola has confirmed which devices will receive the Android 13 update.

This is according to its software and security updates page where the company has confirmed which handsets are eligible for the update. We’re not sure if this list is final or if these are the devices that Motorola plans to update first and that they will add more to the list later, but for now, these are the eligible phones.

  • Motorola Edge+ (2022)
  • Motorola Edge (2022)
  • Motorola Edge 30 Pro
  • Motorola Edge 30
  • Moto G Stylus 5G 2022
  • Moto G 5G 2022
  • Moto G82 5G
  • Moto G62 5G
  • Moto G42
  • Moto G32

The Android 13 update was released not too long ago but as expected, the update only made its way to Google’s Pixel phones first. Motorola does not mention when these handsets will receive the update, so it could be in the coming weeks, coming months, or maybe even in 2023.

As for other handset manufacturers, you’ll just have to wait and see. That being said, most handset manufacturers usually promise support for at least two major updates, so if you bought a phone that was released in the past 1-2 years, you should be good.
