Samsung’s improved software update timeline has certainly been one to take note of, as the Korean electronics giant vouches to supply its phones with regular software and security updates. With that being said, owners of Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A53 handset in the United States can now access the latest August 2022 patch for their smartphones, following the global release of the patch a week ago.
The new update comes with software version number A536U1UEU3AVH2, and is now available for users on carrier networks which include AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.
The new update brings some fixes for security and stability issues for the Galaxy A53, as well as fixes for issues with Samsung Knox, DeX, and MAC address leaks, to name a few. Launched earlier this year alongside the Galaxy A33, the A53 is equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 1280 chipset, a 6.5-inch super AMOLED display, 5,000 mAh battery, a quad-camera array at the back with a 64 MP, f/1.8 main sensor, a 12 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens, a 5 MP, f/2.4 macro lens, and 5 MP, f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process.
