Contrary to popular belief, Pokemon GO is alive and well. The AR-integrated mobile spin-off game which launched a few years back is still going strong and continues to host several upcoming events, which keep players busy with new content and missions all year round. With that said, the team behind the game has announced August Community Day meet-ups in several locations worldwide.
As per the press release on the game’s website, this month’s community meet-ups will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. As per the announcement, “Raid, trade, and explore with Trainers in your area while catching Galarian Zigzagoon, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon. You don’t need to register to join the fun! Is an Obstagoon keeping you from attending one of our in-person meetups? Don’t worry—you’ll still be able to participate in Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day wherever you are.”
In related news, players will also be able to encounter and catch special Hisuian versions of Pokemon in the game’s Hisuian Discoveries event, which runs from July 27 to August 2. Certain species will appear more frequently during raids, and players can even encounter a Shiny Dialga if they participate in five-star raids.
