Pokemon Go players, rejoice! The Pokemon Go team has recently announced a new event that will incorporate Pokemon species from the Hisuian region into the game. The event will run from Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Debuting species will include Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel. Several Pokemon will also more frequently, including Hisuian Voltorb. Players will also be able to battle at the GO Battle League with Hisuian variants of Pokemon, which must be at 1,500 CP (or below). Additionally, only Pokémon first discovered in the Hisui region or Pokémon with a Pokédex number from #387 to #493 will be allowed to participate.

Certain species will appear more frequently during raids, and players can even encounter a Shiny Dialga if they participate in five-star raids. Players can also hatch Hisuian variants of Growlithe, Voltorb, Qwilfish, and Sneasel from 7km eggs.

The Hisuian region was first explored in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch, which later came to be known as the Sinnoh region in the in-game universe.

Players can purchase items from the in-game shop, which includes outfits with design styles taken from Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as well as event-themed stickers from PokéStops, gifts, and the shop.
