Back in May, Xiaomi and Leica announced that both companies would be entering into a partnership in which Leica would offer their camera and imaging expertise to Xiaomi for future smartphones.

Now thanks to renders published by Zouton in collaboration with OnLeaks, we now have a better idea of what that collaboration could look like as it will debut in the form of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

Assuming these renders are accurate, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a massive circular camera module on the back of the phone coupled with Leica’s iconic red logo. Based on these images, it seems that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra’s camera module will be of the triple camera variety, which is par for the course these days.

According to the rumors, the camera setup is said to consist of a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 48MP periscope lens camera. The front is also expected to house a camera with a hole-punch cutout, but details on that camera are unclear for now.

The renders also show how the phone will sport a display that curves slightly on the edges, which is rumored to be of the AMOLEd variety and could also offer a 120Hz refresh rate. There is no word on when the phone will be announced, but the bevy of leaks suggests that it might not be too far off.
