Battery life on our wearables will vary from model to model. Some devices, like fitness trackers, tend to offer better battery life because they have more limited functions compared to smartwatches. For those who are planning on getting the upcoming Pixel Watch, then all day battery life is something to look forward to.
According to a report from 9to5Google, they cite a source who has told them that the upcoming Google smartwatch could come with a 300mAh battery that should be able to last all day.
Whether or not it actually will remains to be seen, but based on other smartwatches they compared it to like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 which has a 247mAh battery, the Fossil Gen 6, and the Skagen Falster Gen 6, both of which sport 300mAh batteries, 24 hours of battery life could something we can look forward to.
Of course, it is possible that Google could feature software optimization that could allow it to last longer, or alternatively, it could last for a shorter period, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The report also goes on to state that the Pixel Watch could feature cellular connectivity, meaning that users won’t need to tether it to their phones for connectivity.
Right now, the Pixel Watch is rumored to be announced at Google I/O 2022 which is scheduled for May and that it might see a limited release, but do check back with us in the coming weeks for more details.
