Motorola Edge 30 specs leaked ahead of announcement

0

Following the leak of the Motorola G52 smartphone last week, it seems that Motorola has another higher-end handset in the works by the name of the Motorola Edge 30, and a tweet by leakster Yogesh Brar has revealed what we might be able to expect from the phone in terms of hardware.

According to the tweet, the upcoming handset is expected to feature:

  • A 6.55-inch FHD+ POLED display
  • 144Hz refresh rate
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset
  • 6-8GB of LPDDR4X RAM
  • 128-256GB of storage
  • A triple rear camera setup with a 50MP + 50MP + 2MP combo
  • A 32MP front-facing camera
  • A 4,020mAh battery with 30W charging
  • Android 12 out of the box

Comparing this to the leaked specs of the Motorola G52, it is clear that the Edge 30 will be a more powerful handset, although both do appear to be using a POLED display which offers up a bit more flexibility and durability. We’re not saying the Edge 30 will be a foldable device, but it could allow Motorola more flexibility (quite literally) in terms of design.

This is actually not the first time we’re hearing about the Edge 30 series. A report from earlier this year suggested that the Ultra model could feature a stylus. We also heard that there might be a Pro model and leaked renders have revealed and “confirmed” the existence of an accompanying stylus.
