The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is a hit and it’s not even out yet

Let’s face it, when it comes to tablets, it’s hard to beat Apple’s iPad. As much as we love Android on our smartphones, the experience isn’t quite the same on a tablet which is why it’s not surprising that many Android smartphone owners actually (secretly) own an iPad on the side.

That being said, it looks like Samsung could potentially have a device that could change the way we think about Android tablets and could possibly give Apple a run for their money in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. The tablet was announced alongside the Galaxy S22 smartphones, and it turns out it’s quite a hit.

This is based on pre-orders where it seems that customers were so enamored by the tablet that Samsung was forced to hit the pause button on pre-orders. The Galaxy Tab S8 comes in three flavors – the regular Galaxy Tab S8, the Tab S8+, and the Tab S8 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S8+ is still available for pre-order, but the other two models are unavailable for now.

According to Samsung’s message:

“We are thrilled by the consumer response to our new Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. Due to the overwhelming demand in the last 48 hours, we will be pausing preorders at Samsung.com for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8. We are working quickly to meet consumer excitement and demand. Please stay tuned for more updates.”

Keep in mind that this is just one tablet so we doubt that the iPad’s dominance is in any real trouble, but if Samsung can keep this momentum up for the future, we could see Android’s tablet market share start to grow.
