The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra could end up costing more than Apple’s iPad Pro

Last night, Samsung confirmed that its next flagship handset would be unveiled sometime in February, likely on February 8th or 9th. But the Galaxy S22 series is not the only lineup of devices expected to make an appearance at the event, as we’re also likely to see the Galaxy Tab S8. Samsung didn’t make mention of the upcoming tablet lineup in its blog post about the Galaxy S22, but the leaks and rumors all point to a release on the immediate horizon.

Thanks to a few listings on Amazon Italy (via PocketNow), a release is practically imminent as the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra all made an appearance. Shortly after the listings were discovered, they were removed, but not before we were able to get a glimpse at what the three tablets will bring to the market.

As for the Galaxy Tab S8, the device will sport an 11-inch display, while being powered by a Qualcomm processor. Despite the listing not providing specifics, we expect this to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU that will also power the Galaxy S22 in select regions across the globe. Android 12 will be available out of the box, and the smallest tablet in the group will feature an 8,000mAh battery.  The display features a 2560 x 1600 resolution, and there will be a 13MP rear-facing camera included. Finally, the Tab S8 will arrive in three different colors, as a Black, Silver, and Pink model was shown in the listing.

Moving up a notch, the Galaxy Tab S8+ will feature a 12.4-inch display complete with a 2800 x 1752 resolution. This tablet will also be powered by an unnamed Qualcomm processor, but again, we expect this to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. With a bigger screen comes a bigger battery, and the listing revealed that the Galaxy Tab S8+ will sport a 10,090mAh cell. It also seems that Samsung will be using the same 13MP from the standard Tab S8 with its larger brother, and Android 12 will be available out of the box.

Last, but certainly not least, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra was also shown off on Amazon Italy. Samsung’s most impressive tablet offering will also be its largest, featuring a 14.6-inch display with a 2960 x 1848 resolution. The battery comes in at 11,200mAh while the camera, processor, and software all match up with the other Galaxy Tab S8 models.

In a separate leak, Amazon France revealed the pricing and release date for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Supposedly, the tablet will ship starting on February 25, with pricing for the 128GB model coming at €1,308.10 ($1,480). There will also be a 5G variant released and that version will start at €1,159.32 ($1,312). It’s entirely possible that the price doesn’t match up perfectly between different regions, but there’s no denying that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will cost a pretty penny.
