It’s the perfect time to look at getting a new smartwatch or fitness tracker, as we’re just nearing the launch of the OnePlus Watch, and now we are getting the TicWatch GTH. The GTH includes plenty of the sensors that you would want and expect to find in a fitness tracker, with just enough “smarts” to get you through the day without having to stare at your phone whenever a notification comes through.

Features

Kicking things off, you’ll find an Oppo Watch-like squared display, measuring in at 1.55-inches with 2.5D curved glass that melt into the metal frame of the TicWatch GTH. The battery may seem small coming in at just 260mAh, but the TicWatch is rated to last up to one week on a single charge, which should be more than enough for everyone. There’s an included 20mm TPU watchband that is easily replaceable if you find something else that tickles your fancy to pair with this glorified fitness tracker.

Speaking of fitness, the GTH packs quite the punch when it comes to keeping track of your various workouts. The GTH is capable of tracking up to 14 different activities, including the following:

  • Walking
  • Indoor / Outdoor Walking
  • Cycling
  • Jump Rope
  • Rowing
  • Swimming
  • Freestyle Workout
  • Mountain Climbing
  • Gymnastics
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Yoga

The TicWatch GTH will automatically detect which workout you are performing, providing a confirmation prompt on your wrist, and then keeping track of your stats. Then you can view the results from the accompanying TicWatch app on your phone. But this is a great feature because you won’t have to worry about inputting and manually tracking your workouts with a watch that save you some time.

Since there’s a huge focus on your workouts, it only makes sense that TicWatch packed a bunch of different sensors into the GTH. However, there’s one sensor that you won’t find on many other options, and that’s the skin temperature monitoring sensor. The GTH will be able to record their surface body temperature, and then view the resulting information from either the watch or your smartphone. Other sensors that you’ll find include the following:

  • 24/7 heart rate monitoring
  • Sleep tracking
  • Stress management
  • Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)

And as is the case with every Mobvoi TicWatch wearable, you can take advantage of the company’s own health-focused apps like TicExercise, TicZen, and others to track everything.

Price and availability

The TicWatch GTH is available today from either Mobvoi’s website or Amazon with free Prime shipping. Residents of the US, UK, and Europe can order the GTH starting today, for just $79.99. That’s one heck of a deal for a new smartwatch/fitness tracker hybrid that looks pretty sleek and has great battery life.
